Level 3 NCCP Coach, Water Polo Canada Facilitator & Evaluator Head Coach Hamilton Aquatic Water Polo Club Quinn Fairley is the Head Coach of the Hamilton Aquatic Water Polo Club. Quinn is a certified Level 3 NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) Coach as well as Water Polo Canada Learning Facilitator and Evaluator. Quinn’s introduction to the sport of water polo started in his younger years with competitive swimming. From the lane pool, Quinn dived into the 30m x 20m pool and into the sport of water polo where he became a Club athlete and a water polo player for the McMaster Marauders Men’s Water Polo team. In 1995, Quinn participated in the World University Games as an athlete. With years of experience playing water polo for the Club and McMaster University, he branched out to be an Assistant Coach of the McMaster’s Men’s team from 1997-1998. In 1999, Quinn landed the lead role of Head Coach to the McMaster Men’s team, Assistant Coach of the McMaster Women’s team and officially hired on as the Head Coach for Hamilton Aquatic Water Polo Club. Quinn was named Head Coach to both the McMaster Men’s and Women’s Water Polo teams in 2000. Quinn’s extensive knowledge and experience in water polo and coaching, dedication to the sport and his athletes was recognized when he received the prestigious OUA (Ontario University Athletics) Most Valuable Coach award in 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2005. Additional coaching achievements include: 2003 Youth Boys National Bronze Medal, 3 Senior Men Bronze Medal finishes, 2005 Junior Men National Bronze Medal and Most Valuable Coach, 2006 Senior Men Silver Medal, 2007 Senior Men Gold and Most Valuable Coach, 2009 Canadian Junior Men’s National Team Assistant Coach, 2010 Canadian Youth Men’s National Team Assistant Coach. Quinn is also an active member of the Ontario Water Polo Technical Committee. Quinn strives to continue supporting and training his water polo athletes in his coaching, both in and out of the pool.
